Easy Homemade Copycat Dunkin’ Iced Dunkalatte Recipe

If you love Dunkin’ Donuts’ Iced Dunkalatte this easy copycat recipe lets you whip it up at home anytime!

Ingredients for the Perfect Iced Dunkalatte

  • 2 to 3 Tablespoons coffee syrup
  • 6 to 8 ounces milk of your choice
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 to 2 shots espresso
  • Optional: whipped cream and caramel drizzle for topping

What the heck is coffee milk?

A New England staple, coffee milk is the state drink of Rhode Island. It's available already prepared but if you can't buy it then combine coffee syrup and milk of your choice. Autocrat is the go-to syrup brand but it was unavailable when I posted this recipe, so I went with Coffee Time.

How to Make Your Own Coffee Syrup

Want to DIY your coffee syrup? It’s super simple! Here’s how:

  1. Brew ½ cup of coffee grounds with 2 cups of water.

  2. Pour the brewed coffee into a saucepan, add 1 cup of sugar.

  3. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to medium and let it simmer until it reduces by half — about 30 minutes.

  4. Transfer to a jar, let cool, and store in the fridge.

No Espresso Machine? No Problem!

If you don’t have an espresso machine, no worries. There are some great instant espresso brands out there like Nescafe Gold Blonde. Just mix 1 teaspoon of instant espresso with 2 ounces of water per shot. I like to shake it up in a small jar or use a handheld milk frother for that nice foam.

How to Make Your Iced Dunkalatte

  1. Combine your coffee syrup and milk in a glass.

  2. Add plenty of ice cubes.

  3. Pour in the espresso or strong coffee.

  4. Stir everything gently to combine.

  5. (Optional) Top with whipped cream and drizzle caramel sauce on top for that Dunkin’ café vibe!

  6. Pop in a straw and enjoy!

Want to customize it? Try adding a shot of caramel, hazelnut, or vanilla syrup to switch up the flavors.

Why is this called a Dunkalatte and not an iced coffee?

Great question! A latte is always made with espresso and milk, while iced coffee is brewed coffee served cold, sometimes with milk, sometimes without. This recipe uses espresso and milk, making it a true iced latte, just like the Dunkin’ original.

Give it a try and make it your own! Maybe add a splash of your favorite syrup or top it with whipped cream! I’d love to hear how you customize yours, so feel free to leave a comment below or drop a rating on the recipe card.

Strawberry Pizzelles

Pizzelles are one of my favorite childhood cookies and I'm constantly looking for ways to put a new spin on them.  Since one of my favorite summer fruits is strawberries, I swapped out the vanilla in the original recipe with strawberry extract.

Easy Stuffed Waffles with Sweet and Savory Fillings

Stuffed waffles are a fun twist on the classic waffle—crispy on the outside and packed with tasty fillings inside. I recently got a stuffed waffle maker, and I’m loving how it turns waffles into little pockets of deliciousness! The best part? You don’t need a strict recipe because this is a perfect “clean out the fridge” meal. Grab whatever leftovers or fillings you have on hand, stuff ’em inside, and waffle away! Here’s what I tried this time, but feel free to get creative and make it your own.
