With temperatures soaring into the 90s here in New Hampshire, it’s the perfect time to enjoy a cool, creamy treat. I wanted something simple and refreshing, so I went with a classic Creamsicle float.

How to Make a Creamsicle Float:

  1. Scoop vanilla ice cream into a tall glass.

  2. Pour over chilled orange soda until the glass is full.

  3. Optional: add a splash of vodka for an adult twist.

  4. Top with whipped cream if desired.

This easy ice cream float is a fun way to celebrate National Creamsicle Day, beat the summer heat, and enjoy a nostalgic, creamy orange dessert. Perfect for family gatherings, summer parties, or an afternoon treat!

Ingredients

  • 20oz bottle orange soda
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add 2 scoops of ice cream to each glass.  
  2. Slowly pour soda over the top.  
  3. Top with whipped cream if desired. 
  4. Add straws and enjoy!
