FAQs

Does Caprese salad have balsamic vinegar?

Traditional Caprese salad does not include balsamic vinegar. Classic Caprese is made with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil, and salt. Balsamic vinegar and balsamic glaze are popular modern additions.

Can I add a little heat?

Yes. A drizzle of hot honey adds a sweet and spicy finish that pairs well with ripe nectarines, juicy tomatoes, and creamy mozzarella. Add it just before serving.

Can I make this ahead of time?

This salad is best assembled shortly before serving. You can wash the ingredients and prepare the tomatoes and mozzarella ahead of time but wait to cut the nectarines and season the salad until you are ready to serve.

Easy Stuffed Waffles with Sweet and Savory Fillings

Stuffed waffles are a fun twist on the classic waffle—crispy on the outside and packed with tasty fillings inside. I recently got a stuffed waffle maker, and I’m loving how it turns waffles into little pockets of deliciousness! The best part? You don’t need a strict recipe because this is a perfect “clean out the fridge” meal. Grab whatever leftovers or fillings you have on hand, stuff ’em inside, and waffle away! Here’s what I tried this time, but feel free to get creative and make it your own.
