Honey Cinnamon Butter

Sometimes I make things and wonder if it's even really worth doing a post.  But then some of these things turn out to be so delicious that I feel like it would be a shame if I didn't share them with you.

Perfect Parsley Pesto

P is for Parsley, Parmesan and Pesto! This year I'm participating in a bi weekly challenge with some blogging friends to post recipes using all of the letters in the alphabet.  It can feature a food that begins with the letter of the week or the recipe name can contain the week's letter.

Chive Blossom Vinegar

The first spring after we purchased our house I was excited to walk around the yard and see what the previous owner had left behind in the garden.  One of the surprises was a large area of chives up against the foundation of the sun room.

Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice

I just love fall in New England! it's my absolute favorite season. Hoodies, cider donuts, going to the pumpkin patch.   Everywhere you look, there's pumpkin spice flavored versions of everything. Pumpkin Pie Spice is a super easy thing to make at home, it's just a few ingredients and a couple minutes to put it together.

Fire & Ice Pickles

Every summer I say that I'm going to make homemade pickles and it just never seems to get done.   I was so excited to find this recipe for a spicy pickle that starts with store bought!   I originally made the recipe as written, but when I snuck a taste about 6 days in, I wanted some more heat.  I added an additional teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes.  These are great on burgers.   The only negative thing I can say about this recipe is waiting the week for them to be ready was torture!  Thanks so much to Myra I. for sharing it! Creamy Greek Yogurt Maple Dijon Salad Dressing

That's a very long title for this very simple to put together dressing!    It really doesn't get much easier than this, gather your ingredients, a few quick measurements and then shake until combined.   Easy peasy!

Stove Top Stuffing Waffles

We've really enjoyed the Rosemary Orange Roasted Turkey I made earlier this week.   We ate it the traditional way.    I had it as Thanksgiving in a sandwich (toasted buttered bread, spread with cranberry sauce, layered with stuffing and turkey).

Jack Daniel's Blackberry Steak Tips

We've got a diner in town that serves Jack Daniel's Blackberry Steak tips that Tim absolutely loves.    They are only open limited hours and it's always a long wait, which can be difficult with Jake.  I ran across this recipe earlier this year and squirreled it away until we could get some blackberries at a reasonable price.   I made up a half batch of the sauce and stuck it in the freezer.  I defrosted it on Thursday, bought the sirloin tips yesterday and marinated them overnight in it.  I reserved half for basting, but it turns out it didn't need it. We preheated the grill to high on all 3 burners, then brushed the grates with oil and turned off the middle burner.  Cooked them over that indirect heat to our desired doneness   I'd have preferred them with a little bit of a crispier exterior, but that's easily fixable next time.  Not the most photogenic dish and I was hungry and in no mood to play with it...
