Easy Deviled Egg Sugar Cookies

These deviled egg sugar cookies are made in egg-shaped molds and topped with a yellow frosting “yolk” and a sprinkle of red sanding sugar. An easy, fun cookie that’s perfect for parties or holidays.

I used a bagged sugar cookie mix and a cookie scoop to get evenly sized cookies. I pressed small indents while they were still warm. Once cooled, I filled them with yellow frosting and finished with a sprinkle of red sanding sugar.

What You’ll Need

  • 1 pouch Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix (17.5oz)
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1 room-temperature egg
  • Prepared yellow frosting
  • Red sanding sugar

How to Make Them

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Prepare the sugar cookie dough according to the bag instructions, using the butter and egg.
3. Fill silicone egg-shaped molds with about 1 tablespoon of dough each, pressing evenly.

4. Place molds on a baking sheet. Bake for 11–14 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
5. Press an indentation while cookies are still hot. This makes the frosting fit perfectly and keeps the shape clean.
6. Let cookies cool completely in the molds before removing them.
7. Pipe yellow frosting into the indentation to create the “yolk.”
8. Sprinkle with red sanding sugar for a “paprika” look to finish.

Pro Tip

I like to place the piping bag over a tall glass before filling. This keeps the bag upright and makes it easier to fill without getting frosting all over the place.

Easy Stuffed Waffles with Sweet and Savory Fillings

Stuffed waffles are a fun twist on the classic waffle—crispy on the outside and packed with tasty fillings inside. I recently got a stuffed waffle maker, and I’m loving how it turns waffles into little pockets of deliciousness! The best part? You don’t need a strict recipe because this is a perfect “clean out the fridge” meal. Grab whatever leftovers or fillings you have on hand, stuff ’em inside, and waffle away! Here’s what I tried this time, but feel free to get creative and make it your own.
