Homemade Italian Dressing

I is for Italian!

This homemade Italian dressing is quick to make with simple pantry ingredients and has a fresh, tangy flavor that works on just about everything. It’s the kind of easy salad dressing you can throw together in minutes and keep in the fridge for salads, pasta salads, or marinades.

This dressing comes together in just minutes using everyday ingredients. It has a balanced blend of acidity, herbs, and richness, making it versatile for meal prep, salads, and more. Once you try it homemade, it becomes an easy staple you’ll skip store-bought for.

What You'll Need

  • Extra Virgin Olive oil
  • Red wine vinegar
  • Dijon mustard
  • Dried oregano, dried basil
  • Garlic powder
  • Dried minced onion
  • Salt, black pepper
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

How to Make It

  1. Add all ingredients to a 16 oz mason jar.
  2. Secure the lid and shake well until fully combined and slightly emulsified.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Let the dressing sit for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. Shake again before serving.

Ways to Use It

  • Drizzle over crisp green salads
  • Use as a marinade for chicken or roasted vegetables
  • Perfect for pasta salad
  • Add to grain bowls for quick flavor

Storage Instructions

Store in a sealed jar or container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake well before each use, as natural separation will occur.

Easy Stuffed Waffles with Sweet and Savory Fillings

Stuffed waffles are a fun twist on the classic waffle—crispy on the outside and packed with tasty fillings inside. I recently got a stuffed waffle maker, and I’m loving how it turns waffles into little pockets of deliciousness! The best part? You don’t need a strict recipe because this is a perfect “clean out the fridge” meal. Grab whatever leftovers or fillings you have on hand, stuff ’em inside, and waffle away! Here’s what I tried this time, but feel free to get creative and make it your own.
