Mocha Milkshake

M is for Mocha and Milkshake!

When you need a cool caffeine boost, whip up this creamy mocha milkshake made with frozen coffee cubes and chocolate syrup!

I originally found this recipe on the Blendtec website, where they call it a mocha frappe. But in New England, we’d call this a milkshake instead, since frappes here always have ice cream.

How to Make a Mocha Milkshake:

1. Freeze the Coffee
Brew your coffee stronger than usual, cool it down, and pour 2 cups into an ice cube tray. Freeze until solid—about 2–3 hours.
2. Blend It All Together
In a blender, combine coffee ice cubes, milk, sweetener of your choice, and chocolate syrup. Blend on a medium-low setting or “Ice Crush” for 30–40 seconds.
3. Serve and Enjoy
Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately while cold and frothy.

Make It Even More Delicious!

Want to take your mocha milkshake to the next level? These easy add-ons make it extra special!
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings
  • A drizzle of chocolate syrup
  • Crushed coffee beans

Stuffed Waffles

I wasn't sure I was going to blog these stuffed waffles since it was the first time I tried using the new iron but since I'd already taken the pics as I went I figured, why not? They aren't perfect but they are delicious!

Strawberry Pizzelles

Pizzelles are one of my favorite childhood cookies and I'm constantly looking for ways to put a new spin on them.  Since one of my favorite summer fruits is strawberries, I swapped out the vanilla in the original recipe with strawberry extract.
