Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this salad ahead of time?
Yes—just keep the dressing separate until you're ready to serve. The radishes and carrots hold up well when prepped in advance, but the greens are best tossed right before eating to avoid wilting.

What can I use instead of rice wine vinegar?
Apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar work well. Both offer a similar acidity that complements the orange juice without overpowering it.

How long does the dressing last?
Stored in the fridge in a sealed jar, the orange vinaigrette will keep for up to 5 days. Give it a quick shake before using.

Is this salad suitable for special diets?
Yes—it’s naturally gluten-free and vegan. Just double-check labels if you’re using packaged greens or flavored vinegars.

Can I customize this with other ingredients?
Definitely. Try adding sliced avocado, feta cheese, toasted nuts, or a protein like grilled chicken or chickpeas if you want to make it more filling.

Pizzelles are one of my favorite childhood cookies and I'm constantly looking for ways to put a new spin on them.  Since one of my favorite summer fruits is strawberries, I swapped out the vanilla in the original recipe with strawberry extract.

Easy Stuffed Waffles with Sweet and Savory Fillings

Stuffed waffles are a fun twist on the classic waffle—crispy on the outside and packed with tasty fillings inside. I recently got a stuffed waffle maker, and I’m loving how it turns waffles into little pockets of deliciousness! The best part? You don’t need a strict recipe because this is a perfect “clean out the fridge” meal. Grab whatever leftovers or fillings you have on hand, stuff ’em inside, and waffle away! Here’s what I tried this time, but feel free to get creative and make it your own.
